Insight

Miles & More Worldshop is an integral part of the Miles & More loyalty program. The Miles & More entrusted us with the task of elevating the online shop to the state of the art in e-commerce. This mission needs extensive refinements across user experience, interface design, and the clear visualization of business objectives within the shop.

My Role

Since January 2023, I have been the lead UI Designer of the Miles & More Worldshop team.
I am dedicated to strategically, aesthetically, and responsively improving the online shopping experience. Throughout this project, I have explored various facets of design, including functional design, and have embraced adapting designs based on data analytics. Additionally, I am expanding my expertise in UX.

Product detail page

Product detail page background

The product detail page is the final step before a customer makes a purchase decision. To improve its effectiveness, I optimized key areas, including mobile view, scroll depth, purchase journey clarity, and WCAG compliance. These improvements created a page that highlights products effectively, boosting the conversion rate.

In this project, I improved the UI and, with the support of Mischa K. (Lead User Experience Architect), I took responsibility for the UX architecture. It took 10 months from first concept to final implementation.

Spend miles

Spend Miles Background

Central to the Worldshop experience is the ability to exchange miles for high-quality products and exclusive branded items. Approximately  40% of all shop visitors navigate to the spend miles page. 

Recognizing its significance, we dedicated efforts to optimizing the spend miles tool for both desktop and mobile platforms to make it more user-friendly and efficient.

This project marked my first experience with functional design. These iterations demonstrate the evolution of my skills throughout the design process, ultimately resulting in a tool that successfully met all user needs.
